Which Prophecy is Being Fulfilled with Israel?

Many Christian churches teach that the Jews have permanently lost their right to the land, despite God's promise to give it to the seed of Abraham "forever" (Gen. 13:15). This raises questions about the Old Testament promises and prophecies made to the Jews, especially those that imply a secure place for them in God's plan forever.

Prophecies about Israel can be found throughout the Bible, particularly in the Old Testament. These prophecies include promises of restoration, regathering of the Jewish people, and rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem.

These signs that we see happening in Israel points to what Jesus said in Luke 21:28, “look up because your redemption draws near.”

The importance of Israel in prophecy goes beyond religious beliefs. From a geopolitical perspective, Israel is strategically located in the Middle East and has been a center of conflicts and tensions throughout history.

Prophecy #1 - Zechariah 12:3–4

Prophecy #2 - The Bible foretells that Israel would regain its land due to persecution. The Hebrew Scripture indicates, "I will bring them back to their land that I gave their forefathers" (Jer 16:15). The scripture also indicates that God would employ "fishermen" and "hunters" as instruments to drive His people back to Israel (Jer 16:16).

Prophecy #3 – Restoration of Israel – Ezekiel 36:24-28

Dr. Walter Kaiser, “Repeatedly, the prophets of the Old Testament had depicted an Israelite remnant returning to the land (e.g., Isa. 10:20- 30) and becoming prominent among the nations (Mic. 4:1) in the end day. In fact, Zechariah 10:8-12 is still repeating this same promise in 518 B.C., well after the days when many in Israel had returned from their last and final exile, the Babylonian Exile.”

Evaluating the passage in Ezek. 36, it is clear when considering the historical and contextual perspective, that the prophet is not referring to the Israelites returning to Canaan under Zerubbabel, Ezra, and Nehemiah. Ezekiel is referring to a final and complete restoration under the Messiah in the end times. The details of Israel's reestablishment on her land set forth here simply did not occur in the return begun in 538 B.C.

Prophecy #4 – IRAN’s Growing Threat to Annihilate Israel – Jeremiah 49:34-39

This prophecy indicates that Iran will have nuclear power. Currently, Iran’s nuclear facility is on the West Coast of the Persian Gulf. There they have missle silos. However, Iran isn’t looking to gain nuclear power for political reasons. The mission of the Islamic State is to fulfill prophecy by advancing ISIS and terrorism all over the world.

Iran is the most dangerous and most radically Islamic country in the world and the largest sponsor of state terrorism! This is the same place where the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said the “Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to erase Israel from the map of the region.”
