Can You Deny Jesus is God and Still Be Considered a Christian?
It’s becoming more accepting that Christianity can be anything you want it to be. Progressive Christians like to say they follow Jesus’s example but don’t worship Him as God. What would you say after hearing that?
It is evidently clear in the Bible that Jesus is unmistakably referred to as God in numerous passages. For instance, in John 1:1, it is stated, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Furthermore, in John 20:28, Thomas explicitly addresses Jesus as "My Lord and my God." For those who identify as Christians, acknowledging Jesus as God is not just important but pivotal to the faith. To deny His divinity is to fundamentally reject a core tenet of Christianity. The belief in Jesus as God-incarnate is a foundational doctrine that has been unwaveringly held throughout the history of the Christian faith.
